It's always a bit daunting to stare at three empty

canvases, but together these three make a really

big empty space. So I just started on one, got it

almost completed and then added the others one at

a time.  The painting is 48" H and 108" W.  I 

hope there is someone or some building with a 

really large wall in my future.

It was one of those evenings when I park one of

my new paintings in the family room after dinner

and stare at it....thought I liked it.....changed my

mind.  So today after staring at it some more,

I played with it again and like it much more now.

The original painting is below.

I usually don't get this dark, but I guess this one
was in there somewhere trying to get out.  Now
that it's done, I will move on to something with less
drama and more color.

Constant Change by Nancy Eckels - abstract, contemporary modern art painting.

I've been working on this painting for several days
and several transitions.  I'm happy with the painting,
but not with the photo.  The colors are quite subtle
and really don't show here. The bottom is combination
of gray/blue, grayed violet and raw sienna in their dark
versions.  the rest of the painting is the light versions
with some white, raw titanium, raw umber, and
quinacridone gold mixed in to make variations of color
