It's been very hot here in Southern California 

for a couple of weeks.  It's probably where the idea

for this painting came from. The texture on this painting

is sculptured before the paint is applied. After the

medium dries, it's ready for paint.  I have posted

a couple close ups of the texture below.

  The sides of the canvas are painted black for a finished

 look that does not need framing.  

It's wired and ready to hang.

I wrestled with this one for a long time, constantly applying 

color until I liked it.  I finally liked it....about a million

colors later.  Along with the texture, they combined into

natural materials you might find at the base of the jungle
